JFCS Refugee & Immigrant Services

UCHI received updated information from Jewish Community and Family Services (JFCS) to the benefits accessible to Ukrainians here in the US.  JFCS is planning to hold clinics to help Ukrainians with filing for TPS and EADs. The clinics would be new ones in addition to the several already conducted by Jewish Community and Family Services.

Hello Neighbor

Hello Neighbor supports Ukrainians with either U4U or humanitarian parolees status:
  • Applicants must have a Supporter (Sponsor) that completes an I-134 Declaration for Financial Support.
  • The Supporter will provide financial assistance, housing, food and other service provision to the families they are welcoming.
  • Uniting for Ukraine families (U4U) are not attached to an agency when they first arrive and it is therefore expected that their Supporters will help with these things
  • Ukrainian families then connect with resettlement agencies such as Hello Neighbor for additional service coordination upon arrival. Hello Neighbor will provide support  for light service coordination (referrals to medical offices, ESL, employment support, community supports)
