Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief Fund
As an organization devoted to the preservation of Ukraine's culture and with deep, longstanding ties in Pittsburgh, UCHI works to educate, raise awareness and direct funding for supplies for Ukrainians and for on the ground humanitarian efforts, thanks to our friends who remain in Ukraine. As news of the invasion spread, UCHI recognizing its commitment to preserving Ukrainian culture and identity established The Ukrainian Humanitarian Relief Fund (UHRF). |
Warm Hands Art Therapy Program (Funded by the UHRF)
Warm Hands Art Therapy Program for Orphans and Displaced Youth in Ukraine is one of the main areas of support provided by the UHRF. UCHI with generous support has funded 6 programs for children in Ukraine. Learn more about this fantastic program by clicking on the button below. Donations can be made by clicking on the Sunflower on this page or wherever you see the Sunflower or donate button on our website.
UCHI Archives Program
In 2008, UCHI began a comprehensive project to record and document the lives of Ukrainians who settled in western Pennsylvania. The impetus for formally organizing the project was UCHI President Stephen Haluszczak to complete his book, Ukrainians of Western Pennsylvania, which was published by Arcadia Press in 2009 as part of its Images of America series.
